Have you ever seen sites online that follow a particular template, have 100s of pages that are focused on specific keywords, include Adsense on the top and articles on the bottom etc.?
Folks who own these kinds of sites follow the Rich Hermit lifestyle - they make all of their money by push-button creating huge Internet money-making territories and interlinking them with care.
I've been doing this myself since 2003. Once the process is down and understood, it's quite easy to get it into action.
The challenges are that search engines now periodically update their algorithms, so sites created might last a week or a month or a year or what have you.and then go smoosh to the underworld. When that happens, you push the button again and rebuild (after having made changes to the templates, of course).
AND! If you choose this recipe, do not forget - always include an optin Ezine in all of your portals! It will provide you with an easy way to market further in the future.
With that, here are some tips from The Way of the Rich Hermit - Money Making Territory Control.
A money-making territory generally consists of one or more "portal sites6F6F6F6F " for a niche topic.
So many times I see people building one portal site for one niche topic.
Perhaps they, like me, are addicted to coffee and worship the ground upon which it is brewed. So they might make a portal site called AwesomelyMagnificentCoffee.com .
Then they might move on to, say, another niche like insurance. Out comes AwesomelyMagnificentInsurance.com . And so on, and so on.
But wait! There's much more to coffee or insurance than, well, coffee or insurance! There's:
Coffee News
Coffee Forums
Coffee Makers
Coffee Blogs
Coffee Tips
Coffee Cups
And
Insurance News
Insurance Quotes
Insurance Reforms
Insurance Scams
Insurance Blogs
Insurance Jobs
Etc.etc.etc.etc.
Thus, instead of building one huge mega-portal on coffee, you could choose instead to build 5 portals on different aspects of coffee (each has its different flavor of content, but each can take advantage of your money links) or different aspects of insurance.
This is vital for several reasons! One, you're spreading out your influence on the Internet. If one portal, say, Coffee News, gets pulverized, your other 5 coffee portals might still survive. Thus you only have to rebuild 1 smaller portal out of 6 instead of redoing one huge portal.
Two, it allows you to factor in PPC search engine results much more naturally. Searchfeed, for example, might do wonders for coffee makers but return dismal results for coffee blogs. So you could put SearchFeed into your news portal, and something perhaps like Chikita or Amazon Kitchen Wares in coffee products portals.
Of course, tools that automate are really useful! They include

The easiest way to build a portal is to take a keyword list, create a base template, and then run them thru a program. This in turn will create pages that are strictly focused upon specific keywords.
IE, let's say you were creating a site for iPods. Your list might have:
When you were done, you'd end up with pages like:
new-ipod.html
silver-ipod.html
nanopod.html
and the content for each would be dynamically generated by including search results/articles for the keywords in question.
My favorite portal generator is PG Insider, although that's often filled to capacity. You can also investigate Niche Creator for a good useful too.
Beyond any shadow of a doubt, the best resource you can use for this is the paid membership at Keyworld Avalanche. I've been a member now for many months, and find the insights offered by other forum members (plus the super products members themselves get) to be beyond value.
I hope you've found the above useful! Please feel free to share it with your friends.
