Before You Begin

Articles marketing, by itself, makes you money with people visit your site (traffic) and then either

  • Click on your Adsense or other PPC
  • Click on your affiliate link and then buy the product off your site
  • Buy your own product

That's it.

That's the whole story behind it.

There are certainly ways to make it more profitable than usual for you. If you're focusing specifically on Adsense or affiliate marketing, you want people to leave your site ONLY via your money links. Thus, you want to ensure your template format drives your visitors to towards that goal. SmartArticles is one tool that does it for you.

And here are some ideas excerpted from the Beginners Make Money Cookbook to help you out.

Tip 1 - Decide what you want to write about

What's the topic on which you want to create an article? Ideally, it should be focused towards your site niche.

If your site is about collecting tea cups, don't write about NASCAR. If your site is about NASCAR, don't write about fine dining! Stay focused to the topic at hand.

So! Try to devise a catchy title for your article. Some ways of doing this are to take (get this) common sense, and then visit Thesaurus to see how to tweak it.

Next, consider:

Tip 3 - Make your resource box sell

Your article will be worth less than a fly swatter in a jello factory if you do not provide a link for people to find out more about you.

This is called your resource box.

Here's what you should include:

  • Your name. Branding yourself....it's a good thing.
  • A confidence-inducing statement. It encourages future exploration.
  • Your link. This goes to whatever page you want to promote.

Once you have written your article, you can submit it to various directories. Additionally, you should consider first incorporating it into your website so it's recognized as the original content by Search Engines.

Above and beyond

You might want to consider folding Adsense around your onsite articles. Some resources for that include:

You can find huge directories of places to submit articles at

and if you want to automate submissions, consider:

I hope you've found the above useful! Please feel free to share it with your friends.
