Do you have any graphics on your site?

If so, there are some great free tools you can use (and you don’t even have to be a graphics designer to use them well) to squoosh the image size (yet lose none of the visibility appeal) and get your site zipping along faster than a speeding bullet (all relative, of course.) And the best thing about it is, they’re free!
The first site to check out is Gifworks at http://www.gifworks.com . Not only can you squooshilate your image files via the Optimize button, you can add some pretty neat special effects as well! And it’s absolultely free - I use it quite often myself.
What about if you want to squoosh a jpg ? In that case, consider:
