It's been my experiences that waking up can be a wonderous journey into crystal-clear intellectual clarity...or an agonizing trip somewhat akin to dragging around cement blocks on your feet.

Ever wake up at 3:30am and say to yourself, self, I'm up for a reason...might as well boot up the computer and see what's new?  Or better yet, say to yourself, self, it's 3:30am in the morning...any sane individual would turn around and go back to sleep!

Alas, I confess - when I'm up, well, that's it...I'm up.  Even though I can try to envision herds of sheep running rampant through the soft puffy fleeces of my post-sleep cluelessness, somehow always those sheep are carrying with them turbo-charged mugs of superCaffeine-ized coffee.  Try sleeping with that mental image!

So...I simply get up.  And roll with all the grace of a still-dozing Godzilla to my kitchen, where the Brew of Destiny awaits.    Who knows...perhaps the next Novel of Meaning is just waiting to materialize...  :-)
