Yahoo just reported that Ask.com will add blog searching to their services. To quote:

…Millions of people now write on blogs, creating a highly opinionated and increasingly popular part of the Internet.

But staying on top on the latest information in the so-called “blogosphere” has been difficult because the information there is updated more frequently than most Web sites, exposing weaknesses in the indexing systems of traditional search engines like Ask.

Oakland, Calif.-based Ask believes its formula will do a better job sifting through blogs than other search engines devoted to the niche. Ask is relying heavily on information culled from Bloglines.com, a service it acquired last year….More…

So what does that mean for you? The more you blog and and ping, the more often your auto-created quality blogs blog and ping, the more chances of visibility you’ll have.
